Beta Channel Update for Chromebooks

The Beta channel has been updated to 20.0.1132.22 (Platform version: 2248.42.0) for Chromebooks (Acer AC700, Samsung Series 5, Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550, and Samsung Chromebox Series 3, and Cr-48).  This release contains functional, security and stability improvements. Machines will be receiving updates to this version over the next several days.

Highlights of these changes are:

  • Update to Chrome 20
  • Switched to open source touchpad driver on Cr-48
  • Introduced redesigned UI to Cr-48
  • Security fixes

Known issues:

  • 29329 - Cr-48 Scrolling not consistent with resting finger.

I can't get this update and Omaha is still showing R19, is this update really live?

Should still be able to get updates manually, I don't like waiting and usually don't have to either.

Now there's only one update still to wait for: R21 on the Dev channel.


We are waiting for: R21 on Dev channel also.

Will we be able to change the Wallpaper to our own personal wallpaper? The included wallpapers are nice, but not personal.

Wanting to get back onto Beta but couldn't use 3G before, know it's not mentioned here but has that been addressed yet? S5 GB model.
